Voted every year to reduce real estate tax rates, saving taxpayers $26 million.


Voted to add 100 new police officers to patrol our neighborhoods resulting in a 30% reduction in crime in the 3rd district alone.

Led investigation of attempted school eviction from city hall exposing waste, upholding the law and demanding accountability.

Restored three years of city funding for Northside YMCA teen center (only one in the 3rd district).

Improved our communities by authoring anti-prostitution laws along with funding for street improvements, revitalization plans and additional lighting.

Acted to cut wasteful spending such as eliminating the city employee car allowance.

Supported investing an additional $27.3 million for new schools and school maintenance, including $5.6 million for school Americans with Disabilities Act upgrades.

Worked with City Administration to move a police precinct to Chamberlayne Avenue.

Our community is stronger because of the leadership of Chris Hilbert.

In every neighborhood, Chris has worked to improve our schools, make our community safe and rebuild and revitalize neighborhoods.

Battery Park efforts include….
➢ Restoration of tennis courts and Stonehouse basement
➢ Engaging VCU to complete study on Brookland Park Blvd, which led to resurgence of     Merchants Assn and revitalization of the Blvd
➢ Provided immediate leadership and support to Battery Park flood victims to include:
      o Visited flood site location on day of incident o Met with flood victims and resident at          emergency shelter
      o Volunteered for three days at Norrell Elementary Annex, collection site for          fundraising relief donations
      o Secured Saxon Shoes donation of 500 pairs of new shoes for Norrell Elementary          children affected by flood
      o Personally contributed to relief effort and paid for hotel accommodations for flood          victims
      o Organized community meeting and served as a liaison between residents and city          administration on flood issues
      o Provided ongoing advocacy to displaced families
➢ Secured funding for North Richmond Little League’s attendance at World Series

Providence and Washington Park efforts include….
➢ Advocated for City of Future to build 15 new schools
➢ Increased salaries to attract the best teachers
➢ Secured four years of continuous funding for Northside YWCA teen center (the only teen     center in the 3rd district)
